How to do a manicure at home
beauty lies in the little things, and manicure is no exception. Nowadays, unkempt nails are considered bad form, a sign of sloppiness. At the same time, the age and status of a woman is not important, whether she is a student or the director of a large enterprise.
Beauty lies in the little things, and manicure is no exception. Nowadays, unkempt nails are considered bad form, a sign of sloppiness. At the same time, the age and status of a woman is not important, whether she is a student or the director of a large enterprise. But if a respectable lady can afford to go to the salon to see a master, then what should those who cannot, or simply do not want to spend a lot of money on hand care, do? The answer is extremely simple: “Manicure at home.”
Step 1. Giving your nails the desired length and shape
Each nail is trimmed to the required length with nail scissors, and then filed into the desired shape. Glass or ceramic files are ideal for this, which, unlike metal ones, are more gentle.
Next, the nails are treated with a polishing block. This “seals” the edge of the nail, which will prevent it from peeling. After treating your nails, do not forget about sterilizing the instruments; sterilizers and disinfectants for manicure are used for this purpose. Modern manicure sterilizers as a rule, they are small in size and run on electricity.
step 2. Softening the skin of your hands
It is important to steam your hands properly. To do this, you can take a bath, adding sea salt and a couple of drops of aromatic essential oil, or simply take a shower, during which your skin will steam perfectly without any extra effort.
Step 3. Cuticle removal
The cuticle is the small ridge of skin at the base of the nail. Depending on the technique of its removal, the manicure can be trimmed or not trimmed.
The first involves removing the softened nail fold with nail scissors or clippers.
With a non-edged (European) manicure, the cuticle is treated with special products (removers), which are sold in the form of gels, creams or liquids. The remover is applied to the nail fold, and after the time specified in the instructions, the cuticle is pushed back with a wooden orange stick or a metal tool in the form of a spatula (pusher). At the end of the procedure, the remnants of the remover and the skin exfoliated by it are gently cleaned off with a stick. Hands should be washed thoroughly with soap and dry.
Step 4. Applying base coat
Next, the nails are covered with a colorless base, which protects them from yellowness and the effects of varnish. Various bases may have additional functions: whitening, strengthening and stimulating nail growth, smoothing its surface, preventing delamination. You will find everything you need for your manicure at 4nails.
Step 5. Applying varnish
Colored varnish is applied over the base in 2 layers. Each layer must be thoroughly dried, otherwise air bubbles will form on the surface of the varnish.
By following these simple steps, you can turn routine nail care into a real SPA procedure, the result of which is well-groomed, delicate hands with a magnificent manicure.
