How to get a category A license
There are several options, or rather, only one: you need to study at a special institution, and only then pass the exam for a driver’s license at the traffic police. At what age can you get a driving license?
According to the general rule for the countries of the Russian Federation, any master of the Russian Federation who does not have medical contraindications for driving vehicles is allowed to study in a driving school from the age of 16. And you can only get a driver’s license and take exams at the traffic police from the age of 18, in contrast to classes M and A1, where the age limits for motorcyclists are shifted by 2 years and, accordingly, they are issued at 14 and 16 years. To drive a motorcycle, the candidate must have a medical certificate

A medical certificate is genuine according to the new law for 1 year. If during this time you are going to obtain the right to drive other types of transport, immediately open the planned categories.
And a separate recommendation: conduct a medical examination before paying for tuition at a driving school. It has the possibility that you will actually start studying, but you will have medical contraindications for riding a bicycle – in this case, you will not be allowed to take the exam and it will become problematic to return the money for training.
What exercises are required to be completed at the race track?
If you successfully pass the theoretical part of the traffic police, the exam will continue on a specially prepared site. It includes comprehensive exercise provision:
- Demonstration of acceleration and deceleration and smoothness “Full semicircle” and “Corridor”;
- Traveling in a “snake”, “Railroad” and maneuvering a bicycle at low speed;
- Travel “eight”;
- Stop for boarding passengers;
- Parking or garage.
Thus, having successfully demonstrated your own skills to a traffic police officer at the autodrome, you will receive a class A driver’s license. Passing a test for driving in an intracity zone for cyclists is not required.
